Damyanti Tewari's husband was very much devoted to Maharaj and always
kept Baba's photo in his wallet. One day in 1964 he and his wife came
to Kainchi for darshan. Shrimati Tewari bowed at
Baba's feet
and asked her children to do the same. Then she gestured to her husband
to touch Baba's feet. Maharaj saw her gesture and said, "He
offered pranaam to me before the others. He
believes in deeds done without making a show of them."
After looking at Tewari for some moments, Baba asked her, "Does
he keep my photo in his pocket?" and smiled
affectionately.
