A man living in Bhowali often came
for Baba's darshan
accompanied by his guru. The man was impressed by the number of people
who were devoted to Baba and was curious to find out the reason. Baba's
attitude towards him was one of indifference, which was always the case
with those who wanted to test him. Despite his efforts on different
occasions, the man was disappointed at not getting an opportunity to
talk to Baba. At the same time he was not able to suppress his desire
to be near him. One day while he was waiting for a bus to go to
Kainchi, the thought came to his mind that Baba would give him darshan
of his own accord if he was an enlightened saint. That very moment Baba
came and stood before him and said, "What can I tell
you? You ask your guru whatever you want to know."
