One morning in 1958 Damyanti Tewar was walking with her husband from Brook Hill to Hanumangarh to go see Maharaj. By the time they got to
Tallital, they were tired. They walked up to Kishanpur with great
difficulty. There Damyanti told her husband, "I am not able to walk any
further. If only we could have Maharaj ji's darshan
here."
Perhaps Baba heard her sincere call. She saw a man lying on a cot in an
old garage by the roadside. He had covered his face with a cloth and
was lying on his back, unaware of his surroundings. When they went near
him, he uncovered his face. They felt happy and amazed, for the man was
none other than Maharaj ji. Damyanti said, "I could not believe my
eyes. We sat at his feet, and Maharaj said to me, 'Are
you very tired?'"
